Kavos is one of the most touristic spots in Corfu. Kavos is located in Lefkimmi, in the southern part of Corfu, at a distance of about 45 km from the city.

Kavos has seen a lot of tourism growth in the last twenty years and is the main destination for young Brits and Scandinavians aged 18-32. Its main features are the sea, the organized beaches, the very intense and frenetic nightlife and the very cheap drinks.

Kavos is also famous for very cheap and economical accommodation, as there are about 15,000 beds, both in cheap hotels, rental apartments or studios and in somewhat more expensive hotels. It is estimated that a few thousand undeclared beds operate in the area, however, due to the specificity of the area, it is rather difficult to control them.

Young people who want to visit Kavos usually choose to stay inside the settlement, near the center of entertainment. Anyway, they are a little worried about the noise at night, since in Kavos nobody sleeps before 6-7 in the morning. Kavos, which is considered the equivalent of Malia in Crete, is not considered a good choice for families as sometimes there are many diversions in the area.
